Festival of Hydrangeas at the Garden of Morning Calm in Gapyeong

Summer is the season that we mostly associate the season with the sea, the sun, and the white sands on the beach. We seldom relate summer to flowers. Because it seems unlikely for flowers to bloom when the sunlight is at its hottest energy. Well, if you come visit the Garden of Morning calm in Gapyeong during summer, you may be surprised. Summer is apparently the season of roses, irises and hydrangeas. And talking about the last, there is a festival of hydrangeas at the Garden of Morning Calm in Gapyeong every summer. For a start, here is a pretty small pink hydrangeas to welcome our reader tonight! Anyeong-haseyo!

All the hydrangeas are kept inside a house. At the Garden of Morning Calm, visitors will be able to see a different kind of hydrangeas in all kind of color possible. If there is a movie called 50 shades of grey, there are 50 shades of pink too. Hahaha, okay maybe 50 is an exaggeration. But while the above hydrangea looks kinda purplish, the next hydrangea that I am going to show you are colored in Magenta, a different shade of pink. =P

If you think one color hydrangeas are too dull, you can find a hybrid hydrangeas inside the Garden of Morning Calm too. These lovely hydrangeas are a hybrid of blue and white (or cream?).

By the way, do you know where Hydrangeas were first found? They were first discovered in Japan (that creative country). As it has a lot of flowers, hydrangeas need a lot of water to keep it beautiful. The hydrangea's color are actually determined by the acidity level of the soil. The next hydrangeas are pretty in blue.

Noona's favourite hydrangeas are the ones in white. Since hydrangeas are often associated with grace and beauty, isn't white is the purest form for both characters?

Noona starts to think that she should choose hydrangeas for her wedding bouquet, if she ever has one. Can someone find a nice oppa (or dongsaeng, Noona is pretty flexible) for her? =P
