Kalguksu, Mandu and Garlic Kimchi at Myeongdong Kyoja

Noona's mission during her trip to South Korea is to try a variety of Korean food as many as possible. Although Noona's pants has become somewhat tighter, this does not stop Noona from continuing her mission. So this afternoon, Noona is going to try a kalguksu and mandu at Myeongdong Kyoja.

Kalguksu is a Korean knife-cut handmade noodle. Myeongdong Kyoja is a restaurant specialised in kalguksu and it has been in business for 40 years. The kalguksu is served together with mandu, which is a kind of dumpling with meat fillings.

The kimchi served at Myeongdong Kyoja is a bit different as the restaurant put garlic in it. So, I think you should not talk to Noona at all after the meal, especially if you are related to count dracula. #foryourowngood

Myeongdong Kyoja is located at exit 8 of Myeongdong Station. Upon exiting the station, turn left onto Myeondong 10-gil Road and go straight about 150m to arrive at the restaurant on the right. Other than Myeondong Kyoja, Myeongdong has a lot of restaurants for tourists to choose so Noona really likes to stay around Myeongdong area whenever Noona has the opportunity to visit Seoul. However, the hotel rates can be a tad expensive in Myeongdong. So if you want to get a good rates, you should check out the hotel discounts which are occasionally offered by travel websites like Tripadvisor or Expedia.
